We were blessed with good weather yesterday and so I thought of taking the parents out to Quayside for a leisurely stroll. It was their first time to take the Metro here in Newcastle.

We reached the city center in about 15 minutes from Benton. We sat and looked around for a bit before walking to the Quayside

After about twenty minutes (senior citizen pace😄) we reached our destination. First order of business was the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.

We walked back to the other side of the river to have a little snack and break.
We waited for the Gateshead Millenium bridge to tilt. It does a few months out of the year. Based on the way the bridge tilts it has been nicknamed the ‘Winking Eye’.

It was a day well spent. On to the next adventure!:)
